Are you dreaming of starting a bakery or serving up crepes at the farmers’ market? Are you imagining your very own brand of kimchi on the shelves at the grocery store? Taste Success will guide you through a personal and professional exploration process that will help you decide whether you should move forward.
This is a 4-session in-person course. Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings, from 6pm to 9pm, starting on April 3rd and ending on April 24th. Course
activities include: creative exercises, research, presentations and Q&A with experienced food entrepreneurs, and class discussions.
Optional field visits will include: Countryside Farmers' Market at Howe Meadow (April 20th, 9am), Countryside Public Market and Northside Marketplace (April 7th, 10am), and Akron Food Works (TBD); additional field visits may be scheduled based on interest of group.
The course will be limited to 12 participants to encourage involvement in group discussions and ensure that individualized attention can be provided.
This is not a business planning course, but it will help you develop critical building blocks to create one.
Operational businesses are welcome to register and may find the content helpful to re-evaluation of their existing strategies.
